The responsibility of bearing our own existence can sometimes be overwhelming, the anxiety - debilitating. Burned by Light is an acknowledgement of the paralysis we face in the grip-space of scarcity thinking and the effects of such thoughts on our being.
Burned by Light is made with high-fired porcelain, wheel-thrown then hand-sculpted over multiple days using porcelain and then slowly dried. Once dried it is high-fired in a gas kiln and then glazed and fired twice more. Selective details are adorned in precious 22 karat gold and fired for the last time. Electrical wiring is then threaded through the vessel and assembled.
