Holding Space conjures up a mother’s protective embrace, where the boundaries of dark and light dance as one and warmth emanates from accepting it all. As a candle holder, Holding Space is a daily intention maker. Light a candle and place within the arms to create ceremony around your wishes. In this manner, we create space for ourselves in order to hold space for others.
Holding Space is made from Sonora White high-fire stoneware clay. The main vessel pieces are wheel-thrown then sculpted with details on top. Once done, the piece is slowly dried and then fired for the first time. It is then glazed and fired once more to reach its fully vitrified state. Selective details are then adorned with precious 22 karat gold and luster fired. If a lamp, electrical is then threaded through and assembled.
