Originally made as a set, the other sadly didn’t make it through the kiln firing, this remaining lonesome one wishes the viewer well in every intersection in life. Gemini features one creature, eyes-closed, hearts in its palms, breathing out - slowly.
Gemini is sculpted with Babu porcelain and high-fired in a gas kiln. Once fired, the piece is glazed and fired twice more. Selective details are adorned in precious 22 karat gold. One twin did not survive the initial firing (and is not displayed), the remaining one serves to greet and wish well those along the path of reunion.
This piece is a lamp with a replaceable lightbulb fixture and electrical cord, with a freestanding base.
