The Melted Series are a collection of lamp vessels melting from the strength of one’s light. To develop self-authority can take a lifetime as we’re bound to make detrimental but ultimately informative choices, which become necessary lessons. These lamps express this inner-turmoil to persevere and integrate gently our mistakes into wisdom.
Night is made with high-fire stoneware. The main vessel pieces are wheel-thrown then sculpted with details on top. Once sculpting is finished, the piece is slowly dried and then fired for the first time. It is then glazed and fired once more for the piece to reach its fully vitrified state. Chosen details are then adorned with precious 22 karat gold and luster fired. The electrical cord is then threaded through, wired and assembled.
